Citrus Strawberry Drink

This recipe comes from food blogger and home decorator extraordinaire, Stacy Risenmay. It’s a dead simple, healthy and delicious drink, perfect for spring and summer.

And while some parts of the country are still, believe it or not, getting snow, it’s hitting the mid-eighties here in Plant City. A nice cool drink, especially one featuring fresh Florida strawberries, is very much in order!

It is perfect for drinking in the shade on a hot summer day. It is also yummy for breakfast to get your day started. —Stacy Risenmay

You’ll also be pleased to know that this drink packs a wallop of vitamin C. Now let’s get onto the recipe!

Citrus Strawberry Drink

  • 12 ounces of water
  • 1 frozen orange juice concentrate (thawed)
  • 2 Lemons
  • 5-8 Large Strawberries

In a blender mix lemon juice, strawberries and 1/2 cup of water (4 oz). Once the strawberries are blended in smoothly, add orange juice and remaining cup (8 oz) of water and blend just until mixed. Pour over ice and enjoy!

Cook’s Note: Add ice and make it a smoothie! Just reduce the amount of water you add so it doesn’t taste watery.
