“Sowing is not as difficult as reaping.”
Jonann Wolfgang von Goethe – German Poet, Dramatist, Novelist
This quote pretty much sums up the current harvest situation for Florida strawberry growers. “Expect the unexpected” also rules.
The launch of the Florida strawberry harvest season has been delayed by about two weeks due to unseasonably cold weather – an unfortunate state of affairs for our 80+ growers. Once the nights become mild again, we’ll be working double time to bring them fresh and fast to you.
Hang tough. We expect big, beautiful berries that will be unusually sweet in no time at all.
