On February 4th I accompanied Jason Grounland the Chef at Smokey Bones to the set of Fox 13 in Tampa. I spoke about the promotion with Smokey Bones to put Florida strawberries on the menus and the Strawberry industry in Florida.
The Chef made an amazing Strawberries and cream cake, a version of a Tres Leche cake. Laura Moody of Fox 13 not only tasted it she ate the whole piece in a mater of minutes! Usually the host just takes a bite on camera she ate the whole thing and then the staff started to merge on the set when we were finished with the segment.

Florida Strawberries are always a hit. We make sure we bring plenty and leave everything we make on set for the crew to enjoy. I think that’s why we are always welcomed back. That evening they were doing a segment on foods that help increase your romantic feelings and Strawberries were on the list of one the best so we left cake and our strawberry display for them to use on the nightly news cast.
So we had a whole day of strawberries in the news!
