Most people don’t realize that strawberries are more flavorful when they are allowed to come to room temperature before serving. Get the chill out for more delicious taste!
Did you know that you can save time and energy by washing berries in their clamshell container? It’s the perfect colander. But, don’t wash the fruit until you’re ready to eat them alone or add them to a recipe. For maximum freshness, consume strawberries within two to three days of their purchase. More tips on picking the best berries:
- Select firm, fragrant, plump and bright-glossy red fruit.
- Cool as soon as possible and refrigerate berries in their clamshell container until ready to use.
- Wash, remove caps and drain close to serving time.
