Dear Florida Strawberry Lover,
If you’re just tuning in, this is the second issue of the Florida Strawberry Culinary Corner newsletter. Welcome!
Our long-term goal is to build a following of strawberry fans that will check in often to see what’s going on in the Florida strawberry patch. Go to our website at www.FlaStrawberry.com for even more information.
We’ve had a delay in the launch of the harvest season due to inclement weather in Florida. We started out with a bang in late November and then everything stopped while we waited for sunny days and warm temps. We’re back on track now and the fruit that’s being picked is bountiful, beautiful and full of flavor.
We’re all keeping our fingers crossed that we, along with other growers in Florida and elsewhere, are over the hump and we look forward to bringing fresh-market winter strawberries and other fabulous Florida produce to retailers and foodservice outlets.
Florida strawberries are in the marketplace generally from Thanksgiving through Easter each year. It’s important to check package information to be sure you are purchasing U.S. (and specifically) Florida-grown berries.
Our strawberries are raised on small to medium-size family farms. We’re a close-knit community. We sincerely appreciate your support.

Until next time…happy eating and cooking with Florida winter strawberries!
