As you frantically prepare for the upcoming holidays, whether it’s planning a spectacular party or just a simple affair with family and friends, the Florida strawberry industry is also kicking it into high gear. Our harvest began in November and runs through March, and we’re especially busy this December!
We predict a bountiful harvest this year, with some of our fruit maturing early enough to provide a surge in product availability just in time for Christmas and New Year’s festivities.
This year’s crop is one of the sweetest, juiciest and most flavorful in years. It’s the perfect fit for your holiday menu. You can use Florida fresh strawberries in everything from appetizers, soups and salads to main dishes and desserts.
Remember, Florida winter strawberries are truly fresh from the field. Our berries are hand-planted and hand-picked. They are put into shipping containers right in the strawberry patch, rushed to cold storage facilities and then delivered to supermarkets – and to you! It’s accomplished by dedicated workers who insist on getting Florida winter strawberries to market fresh and fast.
