Welcome to the 78th Annual Florida Strawberry Festival!
Today kicks off the 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL. The Festival runs February 28th through March 10th at the fairgrounds found at 303 North Lemon St., Plant City, FL 33563-4706. Click here to purchase tickets or call 813-754-1996.
Over half a million people are expected to be in attendance for the duration of the festival which celebrates Florida’s favorite berry with delectable strawberry treats like strawberry cupcakes, shortcakes, milkshakes, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and much more. There are games, shops and carnival rides galore.
Headlining the festival this year are Alan Jackson, Foreigner, Dwight Yoakam, Bobby Vinton, Martina McBride, Neal McCoy, Trace Adkins, Scotty McCreery and The Voice‘s Blake Skelton plus over a dozen other acts and many more free shows.
Florida Strawberry Growers Association Best Flat Contest at the 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival.
This year the Florida Strawberry Growers Association have a 10,000 square foot booth with a fully-functioning Florida strawberry field and our Ask a Farmer house. The Association will once again be hosting their annual Best Strawberry Flat Contest. In 2011 we raised $8,100 for scholarships! The competition is fierce and being recognized as a winner in this contest is a big deal in our industry!
Gates open at 10:00 am & close at 10:00 pm daily. Children 5 & under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Children 6 to 12 require a youth ticket purchase of $5.00. General admission is $10.00 for patrons 13+. Dogs and/or other animals are not allowed on the Festival grounds unless they are a service or guide dog, non-human primate or animals in a show or contest. Certified trainers (with ID stating same) of companion dogs/animals will be allowed. All animals in shows or contests are to be removed immediately after the close of the event.
