Seton Rossini

Seton Rossini is a baker, blogger, award-winning designer and a former Design Director at FOOD & WINE Magazine. Her whimsical pastry creations have been featured in the windows of Macy’s, she’s competed on a Food Network Challenge and demonstrated her succulent cupcakes on ABC’s The Chew.

Seton’s blog Pixel Whisk was inspired by a love of all things sweet and an appreciation of great design. Equal Parts Design & Sugar, Pixel Whisk shares beautifully photographed recipes and D.I.Y. crafts inspired by trends in fashion, dessert and design.

I try to share approachable recipes inspired by trends in fashion, dessert and design. So scroll through and create crowd-pleasing and artfully inspired dishes that look as good as they taste. My goal is to inspire, to get internet surfers off their butts and into the kitchen! (learn more)

Dedicated to a creative food community with a knack for D.I.Y., Seton’s creative posts have been picked up by numerous blogs, including Glamour.com, FOOD & WINE.com, kitchen Daily, foodgawker, Popsugar, tastespotting and craftgawker. Her cookbook, Sweet Envy: Deceptively Easy Desserts Designed to Steal the Show, is slated to be released in Fall 2015.

That’s why we’re so proud to have Seton as one of our featured bloggers and pleased to be able to share with her her creative recipe, Strawberry Chocolate Dessert Dumplings. A merger of Eastern cuisine with Western tastes.

I was inspired to make this dish because I absolutely love dumplings. I love the challenge to take something savory and flip it into a sweet dessert.

A graduate from the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City, Seton continues to art direct and design on a daily basis. When she’s not designing, she surrounds herself with the best things the culinary world has to offer. After an amazing 13 years in the Big Apple, Seton recently relocated to the Old Bay loving city of Baltimore, Maryland. She lives with her (s’mores fanatic) husband Tom, their son Nolan and black lab Hudson.
